DASOK | JAPANESE CRAFT Zine

日本の伝統工芸品にスポットをあて、それぞれのバックストーリーに基づいたデザインを施したZine（本）。
取り上げた工芸品は、こけし、うちわ、提灯、茶碗、将棋、風呂敷、和蝋燭の7種類。
現在販売中の初版については、シリアルナンバーを印字してお送りします（100冊限定）。

【DASOK】
イラストレーターのAsuka EoとアパレルセールスのRie Kabataにより
余計なもの／行為をあらわす「蛇足」。古くからあるものを、新しい視点で捉え直します。
DASOKには、都市での生活に思いやりや豊かさをもたらしたいという思いも込められています。売上金の一部は、動物福祉系の団体に寄付されます。

The concept of DASOK is derived from 蛇(da/snake) 足(sok/foot), meaning “unnecessary addition”. We update traditional crafts with modern designs.
This project is also about bringing compassion to urban life. We donate part of the profits to animal welfare organizations.

※コットン（綿）を配合した優しく風合いのある紙素材。 ECF（無塩素漂白）パルプで作られているため環境にも優しく、 また、適切に管理された森林に由来することを示す森林認証紙

This zine is based on the traditional Japanese crafts with the backstories.
The seven featured crafts are kokeshi dolls, uchiwa fans, paper lanterns, tea bowls, shogi (Japanese chess), furoshiki (wrapping cloth), and Japanese candles.
For the first editions currently on sale, serial numbers are printed (limited to 100).

Material and Print: Cotton paper* (116.3 g, 260 g), Letterpress and Digital Printing

*Using paper with a gentle texture, blended with cotton. Environmentally friendly as it’s made from ECF (chlorine-free bleached) pulp. Also it's forest certified, which indicates that the paper comes from properly managed forests.
